Oat Flour Soothing Wash

Colloidal oat is one of the best-studied skin-soothing ingredients — ideal when rye feels too drying.

Vegan · pH 5.5–6.0 · Best for: Dry, sensitive and eczema-prone scalps

You need

  • 2–3 tbsp fine oat flour (or blended rolled oats)
  • 200–250 ml lukewarm water
  • Optional: 1 tsp honey (humectant, not vegan)
  • Optional: 2 drops lavender essential oil

How to

  1. Mix to a smooth paste.
  2. Apply to the scalp and massage gently for about 2 minutes.
  3. Leave on for 1 minute, then rinse thoroughly.

Good to know

  • On very fine hair the paste can feel heavy — use less flour and rinse longer.
  • For reactive or eczema-prone skin, use it plain: no essential oils, no vinegar.
