Rhassoul Clay Mineral Wash

Mineral clay from the Atlas Mountains that binds sebum and buildup through ion exchange instead of surfactants.

Vegan · pH 7–8 (mineral-buffered) · Best for: Oily scalps, oily flaking, curly and coily hair

You need

  • 1–2 tbsp rhassoul clay powder
  • 150–200 ml warm water (or rose water)
  • Optional: 1 tsp argan oil so it does not over-dry
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar in 500 ml rinse water afterwards

How to

  1. Mix to a smooth paste.
  2. Apply to the scalp and leave on for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Rinse very thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  4. Always finish with the diluted apple cider vinegar rinse to bring the scalp pH back down.

Good to know

  • Can be drying — not a good match for an already dry, flaking scalp.
  • Avoid on eczema-affected skin.
